Volkl Mantra 2012 Review

Volkl Mantra 2012

Volkl Mantra 2012 review. We tell you all you need to know about the Volkl Mantra 2012. For powder runs, seriously consider the Volkl Mantra. You should be able to pick it up at $825.00 or lower. The Volkl Mantra 2012 model has a bit more early rise and a softer tail. Sometimes, evolution kill’s characteristics of a ski. Did it kill the Mantra’s mantra?

Pros – Volkl Mantra 2012 Review

It did not. The Volkl Mantra is a great ski, but for advanced+ skiers. Always has been. It’s the best Mantra to date. So if you consider picking up Volkl Mantra’s back from 2009 or so, think again. The new Mantra is relatively stable at high speeds and delivers the goods on all mountain as well. It will surprise you on hard packed powder and groomers. It handles those pretty good, especially for a powder ski. For a ski developed for the big mountain terrain, it does surprisingly well on all mountain.

Cons – Volkl Mantra 2012 Review

The Volkl Mantra does not handle the crud as well as others do. And it’s not so forgiving. Advanced, expert skiers will be rewarded time after time, but intermediate and “wannabe’s” will feel disappointed since it’s not a tolerant ski. We did not have this experience ourselves, but it has been reported by customers of shops that the Mantra’s quality is lacking. We’ve heard one report about the Volkl Mantra 2009 model got totally ripped apart into 3 pieces.
